The formosa wrasse, also referred to as the queen coris wrasse defers greatly in color as juvenile with an orange/black body and white bands. As it matures, it turns into the stunning wrasse you see here.
These wrasses required a sandbed for them to bury themselves in which they would do when stressed or at night. Formosa wrasse can also rearrange decor in search of snails, hermits, and crabs.
They require a varied meaty diet such as clams, mussels, shrimp, and pellets.
