The sawtail tang, also referred to as the yellowtail sawtail tang, is a distinctive species not commonly encountered in the hobby. Its name stems from the presence of three scalpel-like spines on each side of its tail. This particular tang tends to be more reserved and requires an abundance of hiding spots and ample swimming space. A minimum of a 6' aquarium is recommended.
